How to create a avatar using Site Pal
First of all…what is an avatar? It is a digital character that represents you in the world of the internet. Usually people pick an avatar that represents who they are or who they would like to be.
An avatar can be an animal, a character like a smiley face, a fictitious character, or something that is a reasonable representation of what you look like. It can be two dimensional and cartoonish all the way up to 3D and photo-realistic like Alberto that is shown in the picture used with this blog.
One of my favorite ways to create a customized avatar is using a Site Pal. See www.sitepal.com. It does require a monthly subscription to use Site Pal but it is worth the ease of creating it.

These can be used for sending an email announcement that draws some extra attention to itself.
You saw in the click here that I used a Jesus avatar. You choose an avatar that looks like one of several different characters which can be modified in terms of appearance. You can upload a picture of yourself, have it turned into an avatar and use it with your own voice.
Site Pal offers a text to voice option that allows you to type a message and pick a voice to deliver it. A message can be uploaded using a message you create over the phone or you can record a message and upload it as a wav file.
There are a lot of ways to use an avatar. Oh, and I always get asked if they can be recorded for uploading into a PowerPoint. The answer is…yes. How? That’s the subject of another blog.
Technologically speaking,
