Spring has a distinct fragrance. The smell of thawing ground and flowering trees are signs of hope. Sadly, the mainstream media has done a good job of splashing cold water on hope. No, I haven't put my head in the sand. I know there are economic and social issues out there, but I'll not let doom and gloom drain my joy. I will strive to practice Philippians 4:6-7, "Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concern. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."
Even in these tough times, or maybe especially now, you and I need INCM's network of encouragers and equippers. In the INCM Insight... yes, that's what the majority voted to call our E-mag!... you'll find articles with perspectives and particulars on age level needs, summer ministry and a cool interview with Phil Joel! |
