Upcoming movie "Expelled"

Everything I have read about the upcoming movie "Expelled" confirms the value of this film for parents and children's ministry leaders...

Our society has been far too silent regarding the teaching of evolution in our schools as if it is fact. We have not been allowed to hear both sides of the story. Scientists who have researched the evidence of intelligent design have not had a voice or have been limited in where they can publish their findings until now. I hope every Director of Children's Ministry and Children's Pastor will see this movie and encourage their volunteers and families in their churches to see this movie. Let's not let this film come and go without facilitating the positive impact it can have for our children.

The following is an email I received from Linda Klosterman, President of Motive Entertainment Partnership:

The film "EXPELLED," starring Ben Stein (Ferris Bueller's Day Off), follows Ben's heroic and shocking journey in which he discovers that youth, educators and scientists are being ridiculed, and even fired - for the "crime" of merely believing that there is Evidence of "Design" in Creation (God), and that perhaps life is not just the result of accidental, random chance. For more information about the movie and to see the movie trailer, visit: www.GetEXPELLED.com

EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed, is already receiving National News Coverage
(Click to view articles - New York Times , O'Reilly Factor , Christian Post).

EXPELLED exposes Darwin elitists who suppress all who disagree with them - even scientists (yes, SCIENTISTS) whose new EVIDENCE erodes Darwin's claims. This film will allow you to:

  • Learn about new scientific evidence that invalidates some of Darwin's claims
  • Hear from scientists who are being SILENCED for those discoveries
  • Learn how to DEFEND your belief in God based on SCIENTIFIC evidence
  • Learn what can and cannot be taught in schools and how that is CHANGING nationwide

Expelled

I was between a school assembly and an evening performace and dropped in to see Expelled. It is a documentary, definitely not a movie, and would appeal to adults but would bore most children to tears. I fell asleep twice myself. Kudos to Ben Stein for great questioning throughout the program.

It is not an attempt to prove intelligent design, so much as an attempt to request that scientific research be allowed to continue for those who believe in something other than Darwin's evolution.

As a documentary it is more entertaining than most. This program would not convince anyone who believes in evolution that they should not, but that is not its intent. It is saying that journalists, professors, and scientists who are seeking answers other than Darwinism are being ostracized.

So, your students' parents may enjoy it, but I would advise that they leave the kids at home.
